Process of separating textual data that will need to be translated from the code. Without such separation for each language version of the software the code would need to be duplicated making maintenance increasingly difficult. Usually the text data are stored into ResourceBundles (java terminology), message catalogues (Unix terminology), Resource file (Windows terminology). |
