IANA

The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) coordinates the development of various internet standards.
In particular, it maintains the list of the official names for character sets that may be used in the Internet and may be referred to in Internet documentation. It also maintains a list of language tags (to supplement the RFC 3066). |
